Library of Congress Veterans History Project – Preserve Your Story
Every veteran has a story worth preserving.
Join us on Saturday, August 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, for a special Library of Congress Veterans History Project event, where veterans have the opportunity to record and preserve their personal military experiences as part of one of our nation's most important historical archives.
The Veterans History Project, an initiative of the Library of Congress, collects firsthand accounts from U.S. military veterans so that future generations can better understand the sacrifices, service, and experiences of those who served. During this event, veterans will participate in a recorded interview that may become part of the permanent collection housed by the Library of Congress.
Whether your service was during wartime or peacetime, your story is an important part of American history. Family members are encouraged to attend and support the veterans in their lives as these meaningful memories are preserved for generations to come.
